Ultimate Twist - What`s Next?

Well what a night it was!

After anxiously waiting for hours and hours I was really shocked to see what happened during the last hours. We missed our target for which we had been in the market for a long, long time.

I was only shocked. Asking myself am I really devastated? No not at all. We might have missed one of the best players in the world but that certainly doesn't mean that we lost our capability of winning silverware. Yes we lack width players at this moment and I think we can cope because it`s a marathon 38 match game. We may draw or lose some matches but that's very much possible. No one expecting us for a repeat of that Arsenal season.

I don't remember when a Real Madrid player requests a transfer request in this way in past plus Real is not used to it that's for sure. Real Madrid was also severely frustrated because of failure of getting C. Ronaldo For Robinho I knew he had no other options. The way he conducted there was no way back and after the relations between the two clubs severely deteriorated I knew Real would try every possible way to hit back at us and Robinho. And they certainly had success in it. I am sure they knew there will be an offer from Man City and they willingly made it as lengthy as possible so that we don't have any time to rethink and same also for Robinho. Plus Kenyon failed to realise that that's the mistake he did and as I said earlier I believed even we did bid higher or equal to Man City, REAL would sell him to City simply because of their egos. The shirt issue was just an excuse to not let him go to us.

But what's the positive? If we feel we had enough time to re bid then I guess we made the right decision. He is certainly not worth £32 to £34 million! Plus we have a new investor and now I really want to see what clubs will say about paying too much, spending hugely, sugar money bla bla bla. The fans from different clubs as usual felt some strange kind of happiness. They taunted us which was expected. Some one outbid us made them feel happy. The reason of that happiness is the simply dreams which we made them to see by setting our own standards and ultimately that turns into failure and jealousy.

We should feel proud of ourselves!

And Man City's owner clearly stated his ambition to make MAN CITY just like CHELSEA and he wants the same impact that Chelsea made in the last 5 years. He said all these in an interview to THE TIMES.

As for Robinho it will be interesting to see what he will do if MAN CITY don't qualify for UCL.I don't see a player of Robinho's calibre playing in the UEFA CUP in back to back seasons. And I guess there is every possibility we will again make bid for him in January window or the next season. There will be definitely another bid for Kaka may be if Scolari wants. But if Robinho again requests a transfer we can certainly melt MAN CITY no matter how rich they are. Because UCL will be an issue plus REAL was also not a poor club. In fact they are way ahead in every term than MAN CITY.
