LONDON (AFP) - Chelsea striker Claudio Pizarro joined German club Werder Bremen on a year's loan on Friday.
Pizarro, 29, had been targeted by Premier League newcomers Hull but the Peru international has opted for a switch to the Bundesliga.
"Chelsea Football Club and Werder Bremen have agreed terms for the one-year loan of Claudio Pizarro," a Chelsea statement confirmed.
