Peter Kenyon, the Chelsea chief executive, has closed the lid firmly on the on-going media rumours of an attempt to sign Ronaldinho before the transfer window closes tomorrow (Friday).
Kenyon dismissed the talk during a day spent at the Champions League draw, where he even spent some time in the company of Joan Laporta, president of the Brazilian player's club Barcelona.
'No, not all at,' Kenyon said to the suggestion a bid to buy was on the cards.
'There have been no discussions. There has been a lot of speculation, as there has been continually around Chelsea, but there are going to be no additions [to the squad].'
He also ruled out a potential transfer during the next transfer window.
'Players of that calibre do not move in January. Firstly, they are cup-tied and secondly, those are not the acquisitions you do in January.
'We had a set of transfer targets and we concluded them. That is why we feel so good about the squad we have now.'
